FOTF Kids Corner: S.H Figuarts Review | Jango Fett Attack of the Clones

Phil’s Mini-Mandalorian gets hands-on with the S.H Figuarts Jango Fett action figure

Here at The Future of the Force, we are proud to champion some of the most diverse and creative writing on the internet. Not only do we champion guest writers and opinions, but we are also delighted to provide a platform for our children to have their say…

This mandate affords the next generation a chance to share their thoughts on the subjects that matter to them and in this article, I am opening the floor to my twelve-year-old son, aptly self-proclaimed the Mini-Mandalorian. After saving his Christmas pocket money, he joined me in an S.H Figuarts order from Japan and secured himself an action figure version of one of his all-time favourite Star Wars characters, Jango Fett.

But was the figure worth paying for?

The Mini-Mandalorian Review:

The Jango Fett S.H Figuarts action figure is a very good sculpture, incredibly accurate and amazingly poseable, especially when recreating the action found in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.

The Figure:

Wow, amazing right?

The figure itself is super articulated. He is far more articulated than the six-inch Black Series version produced by Hasbro.

Comparison:

The Hasbro Black Series sculpt is great, don’t get me wrong. In fact, the Black Series figure is sublime but the Figuarts version is something else. If you look at the entire range, you’ll come away wanting them all. From Darth Vader to Darth Maul and Han Solo to the mighty Wookiee, Chewbacca, the Figuarts figures are just amazing!

Armour:

The armour on the S.H Figuarts Jango Fett is nice, crisp, clean, smooth and polished whereas Hasbro’s The Black Series version is far more muddy, rough and worn. I can see the benefit of both. The figure has amazing articulation and can be posed in many different set-ups and comes with changeable hands, blaster pistols, and weaponry.

Final Thoughts:

Both versions are loved by me and make great additions to my collection. Mine now stands on my bedroom TV cabinet taking pride of place. You should grab your own and I hope you love this figure as much as me.

In the words of Jango Fett, don’t move Jedi…

And, May The Force Be With You
