John Boyega posts to Instagram from the set of Star Wars: Episode IX and teases something truly epic…
Late last night, a strange picture was posted on Instagram by Star Wars actor John Boyega. A cryptic post. It showed only both of his hands but muddied with a spot of blood on his left thumb. The cryptic words that accompanied it was followed by a hashtag of his Stormtrooper number from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The words that were posted are as follows:
“Great working day on set! The whole team pushed themselves today to achieve something visually crazy! I’ve had many moments of shock on set but not like today and I can’t wait until you know why” #FN2187
What does this all mean? Is it just an acknowledgement of all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes of a Star Wars movie? Is he hinting at something epic to come in Star Wars: Episode IX? Could this be the rumoured epic final battle? Could the using of his Stormtrooper number hint at Captain Phasma rising from the dead to have her last stand against Finn?
Adam Driver has said this will be the LAST Star Wars film. Could John Boyega’s message be a cryptic clue as to his characters final fate? Or about the fate of the entire cast of this final film in the Skywalker saga? Could he be hinting at the demise of both resistance and First Order heroes and villains alike? Or is he trolling us not unlike Mark Hamill?
All will be revealed in around eleven months time so I guess we will all have to play the waiting game and for all of us to guess at the nature of the messages being posted. Rumours and fan thinking will come and go between now and the final release. Until then, your guess will be as good as mine.
Until next time.
