Batman Vs. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animated Movie Announced

Warner Bros. Animation and Nickelodeon will collaborate on the first-ever on-screen meeting of the dark knight and the heroes in a half shell

Gotham’s dark knight and the heroes in a half-shell have been seeing a lot of each other in recent years. Not only were Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles introduced to one another for a popular recent comic mini-series, but the lean, green mutants were also added into the action of the immensely addictive Injustice 2 video game as downloadable content.

To build upon this lucrative partnership the animation teams at both Warner Bros. and Nickelodeon have announced they will be collaborating on a new project which will see the heroes unite on screen for the very first time in an all-new animated movie. Much like the comic series, thanks to a trans-dimensional encounter, the Ninja Turtles will not only meet Batman but will team up with him to take on some of the biggest names in his Rogue’s Gallery.

Unfortunately, an exact street date has yet to be confirmed but Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is expected to arrive on 4K, Blu-ray, and Digital in late spring.

Exciting times are on the horizon for fans of both franchises. With Batman celebrating his 80th Anniversary this year and Matt Reeves’ The Batman finally nearing production, things are looking up for Gotham’s Dark Knight. And, with an all-new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie in production at Paramount and the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series more popular than ever, the heroes in a half shell appear to be here to stay.
