Five Characters I Would Love To See Presented in the Same Animation Style as 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'

Annlyel explores five characters who would look incredible presented in the same animation style as Sony’s runaway Spider-Man smash…

I’m going to say it. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the greatest animated movie of all time…and I have seen a LOT of animated films in my time. Yes, there are animated masterpieces like The Lion King, The IncrediblesUpFrozenCoco, etc. but I have seen nothing quite like Into the Spider-Verse before.

Is Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse the Best Spider-Man Movie Ever Made? Yes

This film has left me reeling with awe for this film and after watching it I want to see more films under this eye-popping animation style beyond just Spider-Man. I want to see it reach other franchises and help tell stories with other characters that could be just as fascinating.

So, on that note, here are five characters who I would love to see get their own animated origin story like Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Boba Fett

Boba Fett has always been a fan favorite since he made his theatrical debut in The Empire Strikes Back. We got to see a bit of his backstory in Attack of the Clones and The Clone Wars but there’s a massive blank area that’s waiting to be filled. For a while, there were rumors that we may be getting a Boba Fett standalone film sooner rather than later but the possibility of that happening dwindled less and less and after Solo‘s dismal run at the box-office, hence crushing any chances of us seeing Boba Fett again on the big screen. But what if we still got to see a Boba Fett film but not in the way that we first imagined? What if it was in the style of an animated movie with a PG-13 rating? How cool would that be?

The fun thing about the animation for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is that it’s eerily realistic in terms of the characters faces, their expressions, and their mannerisms, but there’s still that cartoony aspect as well. Boba Fett would be a perfect fit for an origin film that highlighted him in this stunning animation.

And then the bounty hunters surrounding him can truly stand out in exciting ways (and those action scenes would be amazing!)

Star Wars | Five Characters Who Need Their Own Novel

Storm

I love Storm so much! She’s such an awesome heroine and I’m patiently waiting for the day when she will have her own film. I would love to see her on the big screen in a live-action movie but I’m not opposed to the idea of her kicking butt and taking names in an animated film either. I mean, can you imagine it? Ororo Munroe with her incredible powers taking down terrible enemies and saving the world all within the animated style of Into the Spider-Verse? Sounds pretty awesome if you ask me.

After Captain Marvel, Here Are Five Female Marvel Superheroes Who Need Their Own Movie

Enfys Nest

Enfys Nest is another Star Wars character that has fascinated me in the past year. Her inclusion in Solo: A Star Wars Story was minor but her impact was massive. Ever since she took off her helmet for the first time and I learned beneath that intimidating helmet lied a female teenage warrior I was totally into her character.

It seems almost sad to think that we may never get more knowledge of her story but an animated film would be AMAZING for her. Not only could it be really cool looking but to see her helping the Rebellion or discovering her origin story and how she became the fierce warrior that we saw by the time of Solo sounds like something that I definitely would go.

Wolverine

I think Wolverine is one of the coolest superheroes ever conceived and an animated film featuring the clawed X-Men character would be incredible with a capital I. I would definitely have it rated R because Logan is such an intense character with adultlike themes and an R-rated movie is the only way to really allow a character like him to shine.

Batman

Batman is one of my top three favorite superheroes of all time and an animated film could shed a unique light on him, unlike anything we’ve seen before. Batman is a superhero that has been saturated over decades (like Spider-Man) and it’s becoming more and more difficult to tell original stories with his character. A Batman movie with a storyline that features Catwoman and Batwoman teaming up with one another to save Gotham City could be quite exhilarating, to say the least.

Batman at 80

So, these are the five characters that I would love to see get their own film in the animation style that was presented in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. We may never see this of course but it’s still a fun idea to think about.

And if the relevant studios or whoever else is thinking like me, well, yay! 😁
