Terminator: Dark Fate Trailer | He Said He Would Be Back!

The next chapter in the Terminator franchise finds Sarah Connor fighting for survival on the Day after Judgment Day

After the teaser poster drop yesterday, today we have finally been given our first look at the upcoming sequel ‘Terminator: Dark Fate‘. Arnold Schwarzenegger has returned to his most iconic and dare I say it, best role as the T-800. Also returning to the fold after an on-screen absence of more than 28 years is actress Linda Hamilton, reprising her breakthrough role as Sarah Conner.

Terminator: Dark Fate | The Poster Focusses on the Day After Judgment Day

The two leads are joined this time around by Mackenzie Davis as Grace, a soldier-assassin sent from the future to protect Natalia Reyes’ new character, Dani Ramos from an all-new Terminator. Gabriel Luna as the new Terminator incarnation, a liquid metal version that can split into two units, Diego Boneta as Miguel Ramos, Dani’s brother and Jude Collie who serves as the body double of John Connor with Edward Furlong’s 1991 face CGI’d over his own.

Let us take a look, shall we?

Ok, it looks impressive. I’m always fond of a new Terminator movie and this trailer has got me stoked up for the film’s November release date.

Directed by Tim Miller, the film has an impressive behind the scenes crew that includes original creator/director James Cameron, returning to his masterpiece after 28 years away in a producing role alongside David Ellison. Cameron also has contributed to the story of the film alongside Charles Eglee, Josh Friedman, David Goyer and Justin Rhodes based upon the characters created by James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd. David Goyer, Justin Rhodes and Billy Ray have written the screenplay for the film and Junkie XL has composed the score for the film, hopefully incorporating Brad Fiedel’s classic theme into the mix.

Paramount Pictures are handling the films North American release while Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures will be handling distribution internationally. Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Skydance Media, Lightstorm Entertainment and Tencent Pictures are the production companies behind the new film.

Will this be a worthy sequel to the fantastic Terminator 2: Judgment Day or another false dawn for the franchise, again letting the fans around the world down with a lacklustre and unfulfilling failure?

All will be revealed on November 1st and I’m already counting down to the film’s release. Keep checking back here at The Future Of The Force for all the updates regarding ‘The Day After Judgment Day’.
