Star Wars Gaming | Pinball Edition

Stern Pinball reveals the new machine that makes it easier than ever to play Force-powered pinball at home.

Heads up Star Wars gaming fans, Stern Pinball releases a new Star Wars-themed version of the game. What was originally previewed at San Diego Comic-Con last month is now yours to own and play for $4,449, a lower price point than similar arcade games. While this game is based on the popular 2017 version of the same game, it differs in the fact that it has a smaller footprint and no coin slot along with the lower price. This means that not only can you fit it easier into your house, but there is also no need to keep a stack of coins around to start it.

According to Evie Smith, publicist for Stern Pinball, despite its smaller size and more affordable price, “You still have the full pinball experience playing it, but it’s just a little bit less of a commitment on a couple of fronts”, those fronts, of course, being size, price and lack of coin slot. As confirmed by starwars.com, it is still just as much of an amazing experience as the previous game and gives a wonderful tribute to the original trilogy.

Decorating the inside of the gaming area is a miniature Death Star, X-Wing and Tie Fighter, pictures of Han, Leia, R2D2, and Luke, Chewbacca, and C3PO on both the left and right flippers, The Millenium Falcon along with Episode IV Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader facing off in the middle of the center of the gaming area. To make the game even more fun, there aren’t just sounds from the movies, but video as well, shown on the screen above the machine. In the words of Evie Smith, “It’s our ode to the Star Wars trilogy. It’s great whether you’re really good at pinball or just like to hit the flippers every now and then”.

Like all pinball machines made by them before, this one was completed with the full partnership, input, and approval from Lucasfilm. Nothing that is seen was placed where it was just because. Every detail was carefully crafted and placed in a certain position for a reason.

The machine remains available for purchase from Orange County Pinball on behalf of Stern Pinball here and begins shipment this month. If ordered through Orange County Pinball, you also get free nationwide curbside shipping. In the event you’re in the market for a new Star Wars-themed pinball machine for your home, business or other location, this is an excellent choice for your money. Buy it, play it yourself and let us know what you think of it.
