First Look | Brandon Routh Suits Up as Superman in Crisis on Infinite Earths

Superman Returns … again! Check out our first look at Brandon Routh’s Man of Steel from the epic Arrowverse crossover

The CW shocked the world when they announced that former Superman Brandon Routh would be slipping into the red and blue tights once again for the epic Arrowverse crossover event; Crisis on Infinite Earths. Routh last portrayed the Man of Steel in Bryan Singer’s divisive Superman Returns and has since become a staple of the CW universe as Ray Palmer/The Atom.

However, like his former Man of Steel counterpart Christopher Reeve, Routh is about to turn back the clock as the CW has unveiled our first look at Routh in the Superman suit from Crisis on Infinite Earths. The promotional poster features Routh in the classic Superman suit complete with the traditional hair curl. Check it out:

Superman fans everywhere are bound to get a kick out of this image. The classic suit from the vintage comics looks spectacular and Routh, playing a slightly older version of the character appears to have slipped straight back into character. I cannot wait for this one, I loved Superman Returns. Despite the movie not breaking any new ground it was the perfect love letter to the Christopher Reeve movies.

In the CW multiverse … Superman does return!
