Having performed at several locations over the years, James Arnold Taylor‘s beloved stage show Talking to Myself is set to be performed at The Colony Theater in Los Angeles from October 10-13. If you live or will be in the area during these times and have yet to get your tickets, they’re still available through this link.

While best known for voicing the legendary Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi in the hit animated series Star Wars The Clone Wars amongst several other iterations of the character, he has also lent his voice to Jedi Master Plo Koon, both Hydro-Man and The Leader in the Avengers Assemble animated series, Johnny Test in the Johnny Test show, Ratchet from the Ratchet and Clank franchise, Throk in the How to Train Your Dragon tv series, Cosmo and Yondu in the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series, and G. Gordon Godfrey and Barry Allen/The Flash in Young Justice amongst so many more amazing roles. In other words, his talent is so wide-reaching as to be beyond amazing.

Having seen this stage show several times on youtube, I can honestly say that I am thoroughly excited and can’t wait to see it in person. From what James said about it on his podcast show Talking to Myself (at about the 6-minute mark), while some elements will remain the same, others have been changed to highlight more of what he has worked on and the various types of voices he has done throughout the years. More than that, he doesn’t believe this theater can be filled all four nights of his show. Please help me prove him wrong by buying a ticket and attending this amazing show. Based on versions of it, I don’t even need to see this one to know it will not only be worth the over 2+ hour drive for me but that it will be more than worth the price I paid for the ticket.

I can promise you that Mr. James Arnold Taylor is in no way paying me to blog this. As a matter of fact, he won’t even know about this post until I’m done and it goes live on the site. The only reason I am doing this is because of how big a fan of his I am. He deserves all this and more for being the amazingly inspiring person that he is. Just listen to his story through various episodes of his podcast and you will likely agree with me. While being religious and talks about God from time to time on his show, whether or not you believe, the messages are still spectacularly powerful. If I could just meet him…maybe one day, maybe at the next Star Wars Celebration should he be able to go.

Until then, if you will be in or around the Los Angeles area between October 10-13, please buy a ticket to his show and prove to him that even outside of big events such as Star Wars Weekends and Celebration, it is possible for him to fill up a theater. It is not one to be missed and you will not be disappointed. James and I both hope to see you there!
