Halloween Kills To Get A Tie-In Novelization

Jamie Lee Cutis shares a new behind-the-scenes video from the set of Halloween Kills as production wraps

The sequel to last years re-boot of the ‘Halloween‘ franchise, Halloween Kills‘ has completed filming. The new film, once again starring Jamie Lee Curtis in her iconic role of Laurie Strode completed its principal photography, ironically on Halloween itself and has now moved to the post-production phase. To celebrate and to tie-in with the day itself, production footage of the making of the film, even though its brief, has been released online. Let’s take a look:

Everyone knows how much love I have for the ‘Halloween‘ franchise. And everyone knows how much I adored the 2018 version of the film. Having seen the footage released, I can’t help but be over the moon with what the film could hold for horror fans. It looks like the filmmakers have gone down the ‘Halloween II‘ route, however briefly and returned to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital once again as well as have the new film pick up exactly where it’s predecessor left off. The original sequel was set almost predominantly inside the hospital, again directly after the original film ended. However, it seems the film will once again see Michael Myers stalking the streets of Haddonfield, slicing and dicing various unsuspecting teens and adults alike.

Halloween | Michael Myers WILL return for two final Movies

The footage also seems to show the returning Kyle Richards in a battle for her life against the serial killer, again briefly along with a shot of Myers standing on the burning porch of Laurie’s home with an axe in his hand, perhaps showing how he escaped his fate from the climax of the 2018 version. At this moment in time, we can only speculate about what the film may hold in store for us come next Halloween. We do know that the film will show flashbacks to the 1978 original as the filmmakers have reshot and recreated Haddonfield from the original movie along with already posted shots of Myers wearing the original mask from the film and seemingly stalking a young Tommy Doyle. We already know that the adult Doyle will make an appearance in the film, now in the shape of Anthony Michael Hall, replacing Brian Andrews.

Halloween Kills‘ opens worldwide October 16, 2020, and once again stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak and Jibrail Nantambu alongside the (finally) returning Kyle Richards, Anthony Michael Hall and a welcome return for Charles Cyphers as former Sheriff Brackett.

Until next time.
