With the countdown on to release Lucasfilm unveils a series of awesome new character posters
Hot on the heels of the release of the Dolby poster for ‘The Rise Of Skywalker‘ and the start of the TV spots promoting the film, Lucasfilm and Disney have released the character posters for the new film. Hold on tight as here they come:
All look pretty impressive. They stand out like the Topps collectable cards that will accompany the release of the film and will be handed out at cinemas everywhere come opening weekend. Rey looks she has finally come full circle, her lightsaber attached to her belt. Kylo Ren looks back to his ominous best as he sports his newly reformed helmet and cross bladed lightsaber. Finn looks out and ready to spring into action. Poe now appears to have become the leader we all knew he would come to be. BB-8 stares at us from his domed eye. D-O looks at us as we marvel at his cuteness. We see a side shot of Lando, returned to us once again and appearing like the former General he once was. Chewbacca looks away at something with a glint in his eyes. C-3PO stands proud and shines brightly as he looks at us. R2-D2 makes his welcome appearance, looking a bit battered and dirty but still the droid we have come to love. Jannah sits astride her mount looking ready for action. Rose Tico stands with a blaster rifle, ready to take on all comers and finally Zorii Bliss poses in her helmet and her colourful suit.
The character posters are the next step in bringing the excitement for the Skywalker saga closing chapter up to a near fever pitch. The release is just over a month away now and I for one cannot wait to see what this final chapter, 42 years in the making, will offer the world.
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker blasts into theatres December 20th.
