The Force remains with Star Wars as ‘The Rise Of Skywalker‘ surpasses $1bn at the global box office
Love it or hate it, you can’t deny the popularity of the ‘Star Wars’ universe. This has once again been proven as the final film in the Skywalker saga, ‘The Rise Of Skywalker‘ has gone through the $1billion mark worldwide. The film currently sits on $481.3million at the U.S box office and has topped $1.001billion around the world.
The previous film, ‘The Last Jedi‘ ended up taking $1.3billion across the globe, a long way from ‘The Force Awakens‘ worldwide take of $2billion. Poor word of mouth and toxic fandom doomed the film to lag behind the first film in the sequel trilogy. ‘The Rise Of Skywalker’ again won’t get near ‘The Force Awakens‘ moneywise but is on course to exceed ‘The Last Jedi‘s take at the worldwide box office.
We at The Future Of The Force send our sincere congratulations to the cast and crew of the film as well as Disney and Lucasfilm. The film, although not the ending of the saga we all expected is still top-notch entertainment and will thrill audiences for years to come.
‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker‘ is playing at theatres around the world now.
