Paramount Pictures releases six awesome new images from Top Gun: Maverick
Flying in at Mach-1 plus, today has seen the release of six new images from Paramount Pictures’ upcoming sequel ‘Top Gun: Maverick‘. Although none of the pictures features the returning Tom Cruise in them, they give the world a glance at the movies new protagonists that will be seen on screen in June of this year. Let’s try and keep up as they fly past us:
The images show Danny Ramirez as ‘Fanboy’, Glen Powell as ‘Hangman’, Jay Ellis as ‘Payback’, Miles Teller as Lt. Bradley ‘Rooster’ Bradshaw, Monica Barbaro as ‘Phoenix’ and Lewis Pullman as ‘BOB’.
The storyline for the new film regards Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell (Tom Cruise) returning to the halls of The United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor Program or ‘Top Gun‘ as it’s more affectionately known to teach an already graduated class of flyers in a special training detachment, which is where the graduates can go to for specialised training after they’ve graduated from the school.
Teller’s role as ‘Rooster’ is one of the main driving forces behind the film as it’s revealed that he is the son of the ill-fated ‘Goose’, Maverick’s co-pilot from the original film. The relationship forms the emotional core of the movie. We also know that Maverick’s nemesis from the first film, Tom ‘Iceman’ Kazansky (Val Kilmer) will be appearing in the film but as of yet, no images or sign of him have appeared in the marketing material.
Top Gun: Maverick takes to the skies on June 26th.

I am thrilled that Miles Teller is apparently starring in a huge franchise movie with that ‘stache. Absolutely thrilled.
