Disney-Fairy-Tale-Weddings-On-Disney-Plus

Darcie joined the Disney+ revolution and discovered a hidden gem filled with Disney magic…

Before the release of Disney+ here in the UK I could not wait to get immersed in the world of Disney. I thought I would be watching animated classics on repeat, that I would be binge-watching the Star Wars TV shows and re-watching my favourite MCU films. However, a different show caught my attention when I first downloaded the app and I am now obsessed with it. I was scrolling through looking for something I’d never seen but didn’t have to pay my full attention and I discovered a heart-warming show. That show is Disney Fairy Tale Weddings – I honestly cannot believe how invested I became in a show that I didn’t even know existed until two weeks ago and I wanted to share why I love this show with you all.

So, what is Disney Fairy Tale Weddings?

The show focuses mainly on couples that wish to get married at Disney locations, however, this show is not just about weddings. There are also proposals and anniversaries all of which take place on Disney property. The show is hosted by married couple Twitch and Alison Boss who help to make each wedding, proposal and anniversary extra special. Each episode we meet two couples and we get to take a look at their history, their plans and then the event itself. And of course, everything is Disney themed – the Disney locations featured in the show are the parks: Walt Disney World Florida, Disneyland Resort California, Disneyland Paris, Disney’s cruise line and Aulani (Disney’s resort and spa in Hawaii).

Why do I love Disney Fairy Tale Weddings?

The show is adorable, if you are a Disney fan then this show is for you. We get to see a little glimpse into how Disney manages events, how they make their events so unique and we get to see how the magic is made. Plus, what’s not to love about a bit of Disney magic. The Weddings and events themselves range from being 100% magical to slightly over the top. Some weddings take place in front of the castle, some around the parks (Epcot is a key location) and some on a cruise ship, whilst these locations are magical and offer an impressive background they are not the only magical thing about this show. Some brides arrive at their wedding in a Cinderella carriage for example and the details from flowers with hidden mickeys to projection cakes are beautiful. Plus, every couple gets a surprise from Disney with the help from Alison and Twitch – the surprises include concerts, shows and fireworks.

How many episodes are there?

There are two seasons of the show so far, season one is on Disney+ in its entirety and we currently get a new episode of season two each Thursday here in the UK. However, I would recommend saving the episodes and watching them on mass because it can get a little addictive. Plus, the show is a great pick me up, so save some episodes for when you are feeling a little down or bored.

Final Thoughts:

I’m so glad I stumbled across Disney Fairy Tale Weddings on Disney+ because it brings a smile to my face every time I watch. Just do not Google the prices of Disney weddings – because they are eyewatering. I cannot wait to see what the rest of season 2 and future seasons bring – fingers crossed for a Marvel/Star Wars-themed wedding. I hope you give this show a watch and enjoy it as much as I do.
