Katee Sackhoff locked in to reprise her role as Bo-Katan Kryze in a Star Wars live-action first!
And we thought it couldn’t possibly get any better!
Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have decided that it’s not enough to feature Boba Fett and (Possibly) Ahsoka and Captain Rex in the second season of their acclaimed TV show ‘The Mandalorian‘ alongside the main character but word has reached the wires that another fan favourite character will be making an appearance and boy, it is a good one. Hot off her appearance in ‘Star Wars: Rebels‘ and in the final episodes of ‘The Clone Wars‘ animated series that ended last Monday to great reviews and plenty of emotion and tears, we now know that Bo-Katan will be making her live-action debut in the upcoming season.
But here comes the kicker. Actress Katee Sackhoff who provided the voice of the character for her animated exploits has signed on to play her in the flesh in the second season. The former Starbuck in the reboot of ‘Battlestar Galactica‘ apparently filmed her scenes as Katan back in February before the movie and TV industry was forced into lockdown due to the ongoing Coronavirus and as such, her role is already in the can.
With this exciting news that has rocked the fanbase, devotees of the franchise and the show, in particular, can start to speculate exactly how her character will fit into the show. And it will only be a matter of time before the question of how she lost the fabled ‘Dark Saber’ to Moff Gideon is finally answered. And we may also discover more about ‘The Purge Of Mandalore’ and ‘The Night Of A Thousand Tears’ which we are all in the dark about at this moment in time.
I, for one, can hardly believe the news and even though I was excited beforehand for the second season of the show, this news has brought my levels of fandom and excitement to a fever pitch. October cannot come quick enough right about now and I, like the rest of the fans out there, will be counting down the days until we get to see what the season holds within. Just think about it, The Mandolorian, Boba Fett and Bo-Katan standing side by side together to take on Gideon and his forces. It sends shivers down the spine just thinking about it.
Now, if we can only have Sabine Wren make an appearance too, that would be great!!!
