The Art Of The Mandalorian Featured

Fans of The Mandalorian will soon go deeper into the world of the Disney+ series than ever before.

We have spoken. It was only a matter of time before the latest in the Star Wars franchise, ‘The Mandalorian‘ got in on the act and joined in becoming part of the literary universe. And now, it finally has been confirmed. StarWars.Com has revealed that several titles are incoming later in the year that is dedicated to the character and the world he inhabits. The Disney+ series is probably one of the best ideas and additions to the franchise that has come out of Lucasfilm for quite a while. With a second season due to hit the streaming service in October this year, it seems like a perfect time to release novels, the art of book and reference guides to the show. So, let us take a look at what we can expect to see on the shelves at our local bookstores soon.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Already in Pre-Production at Disney+

We start with ‘The Art Of Star Wars: The Mandalorian (Season One)‘. Written by Phil Szostak and featuring a cover by Doug Chang, the book will do exactly what the title suggests and go behind the scenes of the first season of the acclaimed show, delving behind the scenes and bringing us detailed information about the look and design of the show, featuring exclusive information and an in-depth look at what went into the brilliant and promising first season.  As a collector of these kinds of books and the owner of every one published so far, this is on the top of my list of must-haves when it is released.

Not too far behind that, author Adam Christopher has been announced as the author behind an adult novel featuring The Mandalorian and his motley bunch of friends. Yet again, this will be in high demand by all fans of the show and by Star Wars fans in general. And I will be preordering my copy as soon as I can. Pablo Hidalgo is famous amongst Star Wars fans for his reference books and visual guides are exemplary. Which makes the announcement of a visual guide for The Mandalorian written by Hidalgo all the more exciting. I own every visual guide Hidalgo has created and this one will be joining the library without fail.

The young fans amongst us are well catered for as well with the announcement of three books dedicated especially to them. ‘The Mandalorian: Allies & Enemies‘ by Brooke Vitale is a Level Two Reader. Vitale also has ‘The Mandalorian: 8×8 Storybook‘ coming out too and we await the title to be unveiled for it at this time. And Joe Schrieber is the author for ‘The Mandalorian: Junior Novelization‘ which will be incoming soon. It has also been confirmed that there will be several Tie-in comics that have been inspired by the show along with Magazines, Novelty, and coloring and activity titles too. And the smallest Star Wars fans can look forward to their own ‘Little Golden Book’ and a ‘Screen Comix’ retelling of the first season of the show.

Dates have yet to be confirmed for the majority of the announced books to be released except for ‘The Art Of Star Wars: The Mandalorian (Season One)‘ and the as-yet-untitled Adam Christopher original novel which are confirmed as being made available in December of this year. But whenever these books hit the shelves, we can be assured of some top-quality literary entertainment to keep us entertained and informed about the gripping show we have come to love and enjoy. And that is the way!
