The long-awaited teaser trailer for Halloween Kills has finally arrived!
COVID-19, I HATE YOU!!
If this year hadn’t been completely destroyed by the coronavirus, then chances are the world would have been scared out of their wits by the middle part of Blumhouse’s rebooted ‘Halloween‘ trilogy entitled ‘Halloween Kills’. I am the biggest fan of the franchise as most people know and I was looking forward to sitting inside a theatre and watching what Michael Myers would get up to next. I would have probably have booked up as many screenings as I could and sat inside the multiplex from opening to close and see the film back to back all day. I still will but of course, not until October 15th next year. Earlier, Jamie Lee Curtis herself teased that there would be a little treat at the online ‘Blumfest 2020’ that has happened. A little treat, she said. What we got was 35 seconds of footage in a teaser trailer for the film! And boy, was it fantastic! Check out the footage below:
If I wasn’t excited enough for the film, I sure am now! The footage shows the aftermath of the 2018 ‘Halloween‘ film and from what Curtis’ voiceover says, it appears that the film may have been changed slightly to move the action back a year after the film’s delay because of the pandemic. But seeing classic characters return in the teaser such as Lindsay Wallace, Tommy Doyle, and Nurse Marion alongside Laurie, Karen, and Allyson Strode and the appearance of Michael Myers himself adding to the violent and great looking footage and any Halloween fan will be in seventh heaven. The film looks to be a terrific horror film that will appeal to the masses as well as the hardcore fanbase the franchise has. It will be a great day when the film opens. It’s just a shame that it won’t be this year.
