Jordan's Without Remorse To Hit Prime Video April 30th

Without Remorse. Michael B. Jordan’s Tom Clancy adaptation sets an April 30th release day on Prime Video

One of the big-budget films that didn’t hit theatres last year, the adaptation of the Tom Clancy novel ‘Without Remorse‘ has finally been given its release date. Starring Michael B. Jordan, the film hits Amazon Prime Video on April 30th.

To go along with the announcement of the film’s release date, the first poster for the film has been unveiled:

TOM CLANCY

The film is an origin story for Clancy’s John Clark character. A former Navy SEAL who becomes involved with a woman who winds up being abducted and murdered from his car as he himself is gunned down in front of her. When he emerges from the hospital, Clark undertakes a sole mission to find those responsible and to gain violent revenge. The book is quite nasty in places and thankfully, the film seems to have encompassed that, gaining an R rating for violence from the M.P.A.A.

This isn’t the first time the character has been seen on screen. He has been played before by Willem Defoe in ‘Clear And Present Danger‘ and by Liev Schreiber in ‘The Sum Of All Fears‘. But with Jordan taking over the mantle, it is hoped that the film will lead to a franchise with Jordan taking center stage. There are many appearances from Clark throughout Clancy’s novels. But the main story concerning Clark is ‘Rainbow Six‘. A film of which has been in the offing from Hollywood for over a decade.

The film was due to be released by Paramount back in September before being delayed until February. Paramount then decided to sell the film to Amazon in a mega-dollar deal in the same way as various other movies including Eddie Murphy’s upcoming ‘Coming 2 America‘.
