Rian Johnson has confirmed that his long-gestating Star Wars Trilogy is still happening. But no dates or timelines are set
Look out Star Wars fans, Rian Johnson is still stepping back into the galaxy far, far away. Much to the dismay of The Last Jedi critics everywhere, the director has confirmed that his long-gestating trilogy is still in the works. However, due to commitments on other projects, no dates or timelines have been penciled in.
Johnson recently sat down with USA Today reporter Sariah Wilson and spilled the beans. A fact that Wilson was eager to clarify on her Twitter account. Wilson said there are “no dates or timelines because [Johnson] has other projects going on, but it’s happening.”
I'm just going to post this now because I can see that I'm going to get a lot of requests –
Yes, Rian's SW trilogy is still on. No dates or timelines because he has other projects going on, but it is happening.
THAT IS ALL I KNOW ABOUT IT. 😁😁😁

THE LAST JEDI
Johnson’s new trilogy was announced way back in 2017. And despite the divisive reaction to The Last Jedi, Johnson has reaffirmed his commitment to the project on several occasions. But this is the first news we’ve heard about the project for some time. And straight from the horse’s mouth no less.
Either way, we can all look forward to sitting down to Johnson’s trilogy for better or worse sometime in the future.
