Mission delayed. Again! Mission Impossible 7 and Top Gun Maverick have been pushed back again!
It’s Mission Impossible for Top Gun: Maverick!
Bad news Tom Cruise fans. The never-ending changing of release dates has hit the actor squarely in the face. Today has seen his next two mega-movies delayed once again.
First up is the long-awaited ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. First scheduled to hit screens on July 12th, 2019, the film has been pushed back time and again. Now instead of opening on July 2nd, the film will release on November 19th. No reason for the delay has been given. And no details on whether the 45-day delay for streaming on Paramount+ is still in place.

MI: 7
‘Mission: Impossible 7‘ was scheduled for release on November 19th. This was to be followed by ‘Mission: Impossible 8‘ on November 4th, 2022. Now the seventh film won’t hit screens until May 27th, 2022. The eighth movie will now release on July 7th, 2023.
G.I JOE SNAKE EYES
However, ‘G. I Joe: Snake Eyes‘ has finally been given the release date of July 23rd after its delay from last year. The film is an origin story and boasts Henry Golding as the title character. With support from Samara Weaving, Peter Mensah, and the great Iko Uwais, the film could be an enjoyable action film for the summer.
Also, although no details have been forthcoming, a new film in the ‘Star Trek‘ franchise has been given a release date of June 9th, 2023. It seems a little strange that the film has been announced today. The official ‘First Contact Day‘, the day when lots of official announcements are made regarding the franchise was earlier this week.
If there are any further developments or announcements, we will bring them to you right here at The Future Of The Force.

Will it be the Chris Pine cast for Star Trek?
I have no idea. At the moment there’s no cast or storyline announcements. I really hope it is the Chris Pine cast. They deserve a fourth film.
