Get ready for another outrageous adventure with Samuel. L Jackson, Ryan Reynolds, and Salma Hayek in Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard!
Back in 2017, ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard‘ hit theatres from nowhere. Starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L.Jackson, the film was a hilarious action-comedy. With Reynolds playing the bodyguard, Michael Bryce, and Jackson playing the hitman, Darius Kincaid, the film was a surprise. A total delight, the film was bound to get a sequel. And so it has come to pass.
Promoting co-star Selma Hayek from an extended cameo to full cast member, ‘Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard‘ is due for release soon. Once again teaming Reynolds and Jackson, the film looks to be more of the same. A new trailer for the film has hit the wires. Lock and load, prepare for battle and laughs along the way:
The highlight for me from the original film was Jackson singing along with a bus full of nuns. It was pure comic genius. This time though, it looks like Jackson may be playing a supporting role. But whether that is true or not, the film appears to be in the same vein as before. And Reynolds looks to be put upon once more. If Tom O’Conner, Brandon Murphy, and Phillip Murphy can repeat the formula with their screenplay, we could be in for another brilliant ride.
SUPPORTING CAST
With support this time from Antonio Banderas, Frank Grillo, Morgan Freeman, and the returning Richard E Grant, Lionsgate could have another hit on their hands. Reynolds and Jackson make a brilliant pairing and throw Selma Hayek into the mix and you’ve got great times ahead. And could be a more adult movie trip instead of the PG-13 heavy schedule.
‘Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard‘ is scheduled for release on June 16th.
