Vin Diesel and Matthew McConaughey Welcome Us Back To The Movies!

Vin Diesel takes part in a poignant video urging us to return to movie theatres and reunite for F9: The Fast Saga!

It has been far too long! For some countries, movie theatres are already open in some capacity. In others, they are still waiting to open. But it is only a matter of time. Sadly, some films have had to vacate 2021 and move to 2022 to ease the backlog somewhat.

‘F9-The Fast Saga‘ isn’t one of them. Heading to U.S theatres in June, the ninth film in the franchise is gearing up for release. Star Vin Diesel is excited to bring the fans the long-delayed movie. To promote both his new film and the return to the movies, Diesel has unveiled a new hybrid trailer. The actor himself provides a voiceover but also appears in specially filmed scenes. Let’s take a look:

I can’t wait for the movie theatres to reopen here in the U.K. There is so much top-quality entertainment gearing up for release that has been held back from last year. And I have been suffering serious movie theatre withdrawal symptoms. Of course, life and saving people from the pandemic take priority over everything. But with the vaccine now readily available and cases dropping, it is time to get the doors of the multiplexes open again.

Matthew McConaughey released his own little segment. During his, we did get to see flashes of the movies that are incoming this year. But the main focus was on the employees of the movie theatres. These people have been furloughed during the pandemic. But they remain ready to resume their posts at your local theatre. Whether it be selling you a ticket. Selling you popcorn, snacks, or drinks. Assisting the less able to their seats. Showing you where your chosen seat is. Or even cleaning the screen after the performance. Or making sure the toilet facilities are clean and hygienic. These people are the REAL unsung heroes of the movies. And it great to see them once again. Their enthusiasm and commitment to us go without saying. And it is only proper that they get the spotlight on them.

With ‘Black Widow‘, ‘The Suicide Squad‘ and others lying in wait for us, it’s going to be a great summer of movies. And of course, I will be lining up outside my local theatre, ready to take my seat, buckle up and enjoy what Vin Diesel’s ‘F9-The Fast Saga‘ will bring to us when it roars onto the big screen very soon.
