A look at the franchise prequel shows the comparisons between the two timelines!
Hitting theatres on December 22nd, the prequel to the first two ‘Kingsman’ movies finally opens. Entitled ‘The King’s Man’, the film takes place in the early 1900s and looks at the formation of the spy agency. Taking the places of Colin Firth and Taron Egerton in the film are Ralph Fiennes and Matthew Goode. A new look at the film has been released online. Grab your umbrellas and let’s take a peek:
THE PREMISE
The storyline of the film reads: ‘As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man and his protégé must race against time to stop them.’ This is demonstrated by what we see briefly in the new look at the film. And it also demonstrates the similarities between the two timelines depicted in the franchise. The cast includes Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Bruhl, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance. The films’ release has been delayed several times, some of which were to do with COVID.
