New Species. New Enemies. Same Old Ship. Trek on with Lower Decks Season 2

The trailer for the second season of the hilarious and brilliant ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ has beamed itself down. It’s landed on the wires and social media. The first season was an enjoyably zany and engrossing adult animated show. It boasted a few vocal cameos from established stars of the franchise. And the easter eggs that it contained were terrific. It seems like season 2 will be going the same way. With risque banter, family issues, and general mayhem. Beam yourself into a comfortable seat and check the viewscreen:

Once again, the cast is led by Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid. Also lending their voices to the show is Noel Wells, Eugene Cordero. Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, and Gillian Vigman. As heard in the trailer, Jonathan Frakes returns once more to lend his voice as Captain William Riker. This time though Robert Duncan McNeill is reprising his ‘Star Trek: Voyager’ character as Tom Paris. ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation.’ fans will pick up on the joke halfway through the trailer, bringing a sense of fun to proceedings.
