Free! The Final Stroke - Take Your Marks With The New Trailer!

Kyoto Animation unveils a new trailer for Free! The Final Stroke.

After a long wait, we finally have a new trailer for the conclusion of the Free! saga. The first one only featured footage from the previous installments – Free! Dive Into The Future and Free! Road to the World. But this time, we have actual footage from the movie. It’s brief and ominous, just enough to get us excited for it!

Free! The Final Stroke

The film will follow Haruka on the world stage as he heads to the Sydney Games and competes against old rivals. The first movie is scheduled for September 17, 2021, the second movie for April 22, 2021, in Japan.

And if you haven’t seen your favorite characters in the trailer, do not worry – everyone is coming back! You can all see them on the poster below. The entire cast is returning for the conclusion.

On the crew side, both movies are directed by Eisaku Kawanami. Kohei Okamura is returning as an animation director with Miku Kadowaki. Shingo Kasai also returns as art director, he already worked on Dive To The Future. He is helped by Joji Unoguchi who worked on every installment of the saga as the 3D Director. This time, Yuji Shibata is the 3D director. Kazuya Takao serves as the cinematographer. And Tatsuya Kato is composing the score.

OLDCODEX is also returning for the first film’s theme song. The song is untitled “Heading To Over – Version Free.” It is a new version of the Dive To The Future opening theme song.

As of now, there isn’t a release date for international territories. But rest assured, we will update you as soon as it is announced.
