Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, And Dwayne Johnson In Red Notice, A Netflix Release

Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot & Halle Berry star in the first trailers for two epic movies!

Two trailers. Two totally different movies. We have been given our first looks at two different but equally must-watch films. ‘Red Notice’ and ‘Moonfall’. We will get to the latter shortly. ‘Red Notice’ stars Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot. The film was originally due to be distributed by Universal Pictures before Netflix stepped in. The movie is said to have cost an incredible $200million to make. The action/comedy is set to drop onto the streaming site on November 12th. And by the looks of the trailer, it is an action-packed and highly comedic ensemble piece. let’s join the threesome and see what they are bringing us:

THE PREMISE

When an Interpol-issued Red Notice — the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted— goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop” (Gal Gadot). The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle, and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company.

BEHIND THE CAMERA

The film has been written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, who has worked with Johnson previously on both ‘Skyscraper’ and ‘Central Intelligence’. Johnson himself is on producing duties alongside Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia through Seven Bucks Productions. Beau Flynn’s Flynn Picture Company. And Thurber’s own Bad Version Inc.

MOONFALL

Roland Emmerich is at it again. I honestly don’t know what he’s got against Planet Earth but he’s destroying it again. Thanks to IGN, we have been given the first glimpse of Emmerich’s latest disaster movie ‘Moonfall’. Starring Halle Berry, Michael Pena, and Donald Sutherland, the teaser hints at what destruction will be wreaked on our world in February 2022:

THE PREMISE

A  mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all, but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley) believe her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.

BEHIND THE CAMERA

As well as directing the film, Emmerich has written the screenplay alongside Harald Kloser, and Spencer Cohen. Emmerich and Kloser also produce the film while Kloser, alongside Thomas Wander, also contributes the score for the film. Lionsgate is on distributing duties for the film which will hit screens on February 4th, 2022.

‘Red Notice’ hits Netflix on November 12th. ‘Moonfall’ lands in theaters on February 4th, 2022.

What do you make of the two trailers? Are they something you would be interested in seeing? If you had to choose only one, which one would it be? Sound off in the comments below!
