First Look | Neca Matt Hooper (Amity Arrival) From Jaws Clothed Figure.

This is not a boat accident as Neca’s amazing Richard Dreyfuss Character figure is available to preorder.

Neca has a great track record when it comes to figures and their likenesses. Earlier this year, they released an 8″ tall figure of Robert Shaw’s character of Quint from Steven Spielberg’s classic ‘Jaws’. The figure came fully clothed, with great accessories and an exceptional likeness of Shaw himself. Now, they have unveiled their companion figure of Richard Dreyfuss’ character of Matt Hooper. Once again, the figure is 8″ tall, comes fully clothed, is poseable, and bears a terrific likeness to the actor himself. The figure is now available for preorder ahead of a March 2022 release.

Jaws – 8″ Scale Clothed Figure – Matt Hooper (Amity Arrival)

Jaws is considered one of the greatest achievements in film, paving the way for what would become the summer blockbuster.

NECA is excited to announce a new 8″ clothed figure featuring the licensed likeness of Richard Dreyfuss as Matt Hooper from the 1975 classic. Standing at 8″ tall, the young oceanographer is equipped with screen-accurate accessories (two hats, duffel bag, cup, and crushed cup) as well as swappable heads and hands, and tailored clothing.

In the movie, Hooper was an oceanographer who comes to Amity Island to investigate reports of a Great White Shark attacking the locals. There he teams up with police Chief Martin Brody, and eventually fisherman Quint, as they look for a way to rid Amity Island of the shark that threatens the entire town.

THE FIGURE!

NO BRODY!

There were plans to release a Martin Brody figure to complete the set. Neca had planned to use the likeness of the late Roy Scheider so the figures could all be put together in recreation in your own homes of the shark hunt onboard the Orca. That would have been amazing. However, due to rights issues, the Brody figure had to be abandoned and scrapped. Unless a resolution can be reached, we will only have two-thirds of the trio available to own. But looking at the already available Quint and the soon to be available Hooper, it would be a crime to pass up the chance to own these two incredible figures. Hooper is priced at around $40 to buy.
