The beginning of the end for the HouseĀ  Targaryen begins in 2022.

Have you come to terms with the final season of ‘Game Of Thrones.’ yet? Are you still annoyed by the fate of Daenerys Targaryen? Are you ready for more from Westeros? Then you’re in luck. Hitting HBO MAX sometime in 2022, the prequel series ‘Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon’ is set some 200 years before the events of the original series. Featuring Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Olivia Cooke as Lady Alicent Hightower, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen. And Rhys Ifans as Ser Otto Hightower, the show will feature the end of House Targaryen including the acts that led to the Targaryen civil war. This is known as the ‘Dance Of The Dragons’. The show is based on the novel ‘Fire & Blood’ from 2018, written by George R.R Martin.

THE SERIES

‘House Of The Dragon’ received a straight-to-series order back in 2019 ahead of the casting process that occurred in July of 2020. Filming began in the United Kingdom in April of this year. It was also filmed additionally in Spain and California. It is scheduled to continue shooting in the province of Caceres in Western Spain for ten days beginning on October 11th. The first season will consist of ten episodes. It is a reworking of the rejected spinoff from ‘Game Of Thrones’ writer Bryan Cogman.
