John Cena returns as the titular character in January of 2022.
He’s back! And is still a bit of an asshole! WarnerMedia seems to be going to town today. First, they released the teaser trailer for ‘Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon’. Now, they have given us the first clip from the upcoming show ‘Peacemaker’. This is to promote the fact that HBO MAX will soon be rolling out in Europe. In the spinoff from ‘The Suicide Squad’ movie, John Cena once again appears as the titular character. He is joined by Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks. Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland. Chukwudi Iwuji and Freddie Stroma.
THE CLIP
Time to see what Peacemaker is up to after his (SPOILER ALERT) injuries he suffered in ‘The Suicide Squad’ at the hands of Idris Elba’s Bloodsport and a very heavy building collapsing on top of him (Don’t ask!). Be warned though, the clip contains some foul and offensive language:
THE DETAILS
The show has been created by writer/ director James Gunn. The series contains eight episodes and will debut on HBO MAX in January of 2022. Gunn actually wrote all of the episodes while he was completing ‘The Suicide Squad’. And that was before HBO MAX even considered green-lighting the show to go straight-to-series. Gunn has directed five of the eight episodes of the show. He will be involved in a second season if the show proves to be a success. The series will center on ‘Black Ops combating something catastrophic that’s facing the planet’. It sounds like a plot thread leftover from this year’s DC universe sequel. But I’ll be tuning in to see what Gunn and Cena can come up with when the show debuts.
‘Peacemaker’ hits HBO MAX from January of 2022.
Will you be tuning in to the show? Do you want to see more of the character? Would you like to see some cameos from the rest of the surviving ‘Suicide Squad’ characters? Why not shoot off to the comments section below!
