Get ready for new Star Wars literary adventures with Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and more in 2022
It’s that time of the year when our favorite publishers announce their slate for the following year. And Star Wars is no different. Thanks to a mega-reveal from starwars.com, we can now look forward to what awaits us after the festive break. And fans of the Prequel and Original Trilogies are in for a real treat.
NEW YEAR/NEW BOOKS
In total, four new fiction books have been announced. And they follow some of our favorite characters from the galaxy far, far away. Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith, a novel by author Adam Christopher, takes place after Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and finds Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian on a mission to locate Exegol. Star Wars: Brotherhood, by Mike Chen, follows Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker during the turmoil of The Clone Wars. Star Wars: Stories of Jedi and Sith features adventures from 10 acclaimed authors. And finally, we have Star Wars: Padawan, by Kiersten White. The young adult novel follows a young Obi-Wan Kenobi and his training under Qui-Gon Jinn. Sounds awesome right?
SYNOPSES & RELEASE DATES
Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long to sink our teeth into these wonderful new titles because the first is due to hit bookshelves as early as May 2022. And the others won’t be too far behind. Read on for all the juicy details.
