No more Tom Cruise as Alan Ritchson takes over as Lee Child’s hero.

The ‘Jack Reacher’ film series was a bit of a mixed bag. I loved the first film but found the second to be lacking somewhat, despite having Tom Cruise back as the ex-military cop. Lee Child has written so many great stories with the hero, there is a deluge of great storytelling that could be used. So far, it’s been a case of just taking what they want from the novels and making a film out of them. That could be all about to change. Hitting Prime Video on February 4th, 2022, a TV streaming series will be launched. Named simply ‘Reacher’, Tom Cruise has been replaced by Alan Ritchson as the title character. The first season has adapted from Lee Child’s first novel, ‘The Killing Floor’.
