Godzilla

The Titans are coming back once again, thanks to an Apple TV/ Legendary Television deal!

You thought you’d heard the last roar from the Titans of the Monsterverse? Think again! A TV show, based around Godzilla is in the works. But in a stunning move, it isn’t going to be on HBO MAX. Instead, Apple TV has pulled off a coup and is in the process of developing the show. It has given a series order for an original live-action show. And the other Titans from the Monsterverse will be making an appearance too. Legendary Television will be producing the series. Chris Black and Matt Fraction are the co-creators and executive producers. Chris Black will also be the show’s showrunner.

THE DETAILS

The show will be set after the “thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real” while exploring “One family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.” There are yet no cast announcements. Nor do we know if any of the cast from the films will be appearing in the show.

WILL KONG APPEAR?

With the announcement that the other creatures in the Monsterverse will appear in the show, does that mean we may get to see King Kong in the series? After last year’s ‘Godzilla VS Kong’, the door is wide open for the TRUE king of the monsters to make a special guest appearance. The door is also open for the Titans to return again on the big screen. Director Adam Wingard was said to be in talks to helm another entry in the franchise but we have heard nothing since. In addition, an Anime series set on Skull Island is currently in development at Netflix. Whatever way you look at it, Kong will be back in some capacity. But seeing him join forces with Godzilla in the series is a mouth-watering prospect. And we now know that Godzilla WILL roar again.
