A diverse range of films have been nominated but there is a surprising snub in store.
The nominations for this year’s Academy Awards have been announced. And there are no real surprises once again. The films that have been the critics’ darlings have all seen their names announced. The acting nods we all thought we would see have gone the same way. Apart from one. In a shock snub, Lady Gaga has NOT been nominated for Best Actress. That is a HUGE slap in the face for the actress/ singer. Personally, I would have said that she was going to walk away with the statuette for her performance in ‘House Of Gucci.’ But it’s not to be. In another surprise, Denis Villeneuve hasn’t been nominated for Best Director for ‘Dune’, another nomination I would have said was a shoo-in.
