Sonic The Hedgehog 2, A Paramount Pictures Release
Sonic will take on Knuckles the Echidna on April 8th.
After the success of the first film, a sequel to ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ was inevitable. And so it has proven. The second film entitled ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2’ will be released into theatres on April 8th. To continue with the buildup to its release, the inevitable Super Bowl spot has been released. And to go alongside it, several new stills have been dropped too. Get your running shoes on as we sprint to see what will be on screen in just under two months:
THE PREMISE
After the events of the first film, Sonic is determined to make his mark as a hero and decides to stay in Green Hills while Tom and Maddie go on vacation. When Doctor Eggman returns in search of the Master Emerald with the help of Knuckles the Echidna, Sonic and his new friend Miles “Tails” Prower set out to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
The vocal cast features Ben Schwartz returning as Sonic The Hedgehog. Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails. And Idris Elba is on vocal duties as Knuckles. The live-action cast includes the returning James Marsden as Tom Wachowski. Tika Sumpter as his wife, Maddie. And the brilliant Jim Carrey as Doctor Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik once again.
