Get ready Gothamites because DC’s Gotham Knights finally has a release date. Defend the city from Batman’s Rogues Gallery on October 25
The long-awaited Gotham Knights video game has finally gotten a release date. According to their Twitter page, the game will be released on October 25.
For those not familiar with the game, it is an open-world action role-playing game set in Gotham City. It is set after the “death” of Bruce Wayne and is focused on the characters Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and the Red Hood. The player will play as one of these characters while they attempt to restore order in Gotham. It will also feature the Court of Owls as well as Talon, the secret society first introduced in the Court of Owls story arc from 2011 in the comics.
From the website:
“Batman is dead. A new expansive, criminal underworld has swept the streets of Gotham City. It is now up to the Batman family; Batgirl, Night Wing, Red Hood, and Robin; to protect Gotham, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontation, you must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save the streets from descent into chaos.”
The game was developed by WB Montreal, the company that previously developed the 2013 game Arkham Origins. Gotham Knights is an original story that is not a part of the Arkham series of video games. It will be released for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
