OneTakeNews reports the film will be almost two and a half hours in length!
All of you dinosaur lovers out there may need to take a bathroom break BEFORE sitting down to view ‘Jurassic World: Dominion.’ Courtesy of OneTakeNews, it has been announced that the climactic chapter of this new trilogy is a long one. It will run for two hours and twenty-seven minutes. This makes the film the longest in the franchise so far. And it sounds like it’s going out with a bang. It is twenty minutes longer than the original ‘Jurassic Park’ and eighteen minutes longer than ‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park.’ If they have got the balance right in the film, we could be in for one hell of a rollercoaster ride. One akin to the first two movies in the ‘Jurassic’ franchise.
When a bunch of dinosaurs gets loose around the world, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Clare Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) go on a globetrotting mission to round them up. All before mankind falls a few spots on the food chain. Back for this ‘Jurassic’ installment are original trilogy characters including Alan Grant (Sam Neill). Ellie Satler (Laura Dern), and Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum).
Director and co-writer of this trilogy closer, Colin Trevorrow, has already said that the film is a “true ensemble” this time around. With the original and new trilogy characters all being of equal importance in the film, it is understandable that the film is the longest one yet. Trevorrow has also said that the film is the culmination of one six-film story. So with a large cast to fit in, dino mayhem, and to do justice to the story, the length is appropriate. Frank Marshall has already stated that this isn’t the end for the franchise. But as a fan of the franchise, I’m looking forward to sitting down in a darkened theater and enjoying what I can only hope is a theme park ride from start to finish.
‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ will roar again in theaters on June 10th.
