Ghostface returns once more as the fifth installment of the SCREAM franchise hits DVD and Blu-Ray in the new global hit from Paramount Pictures!
The legendary character of Ghostface first hit the screen twenty-Six years ago. The film that brought him to us, ‘Scream.’ was a masterpiece from the horror maestro, Wes Craven. When the horror genre was looking to be on its last legs, the film revitalized it. Smart, funny, scary, and self-referential, the film was worthy of being called a classic. I came out of the cinema with a beaming great smile on my face. I had just watched a film that entertained and scared me with equal effect. And I loved it. The three sequels that followed were worthy (especially the second film) but couldn’t quite match the original. I thought the days of Ghostface had long since passed. I was wrong. Hitting DVD and Blu-Ray today, and already available to buy on digital download is the character’s fifth movie. Simply titled ‘Scream’, it is a sequel that brings back the scares, the humor, and the great references to what’s gone before it. And is a film that has reinvigorated Ghostface for a new generation.

COURTNEY COX SPEAKS
One of the returning actors to the franchise in this new installment is Courtney Cox. Once again, the talented actress reprises her role as Gale Weathers. Once more, Gale is tormented and hunted by the masked killer. And could this be her last hurrah before being finally struck down by Ghostface? Courtney Cox has spoken about working with the late Wes Craven on the first four films. And she has nothing but praise for the departed writer/ director. Let’s listen to what she has to say:
ABOUT THE FILM
Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a terrifying new killer resurrects the Ghostface mask. As the deaths mount, Woodsboro’s new targets must seek help from the survivors of the original Ghostface attacks. Now, only Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), former sheriff Dewey Riley (David Arquette), and reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) can find a way to stop the killer when everyone is a suspect.

THE CAST
Joining the returning Courtney Cox is Neve Campbell, reprising her role as Sidney Prescott. David Arquette as Dewey Riley, Marley Shelton as Sheriff Judy Hicks. Skeet Ulrich makes a cameo as Billy Loomis, one of the killers from the first film. And Roger L. Jackson, back on top form once again as the voice of Ghostface. Newcomers to the franchise include Mellisa Barrera and Jack Quaid. Mikey Madison, Jenna Ortega. Dylan Minnette, and Sonia Ammar.

THE EXTRAS
The film is, quite simply, brilliant and highly enjoyable by itself. But the Blu-Ray and Digital editions contain a fan’s dream set of bonus features. From a filmmaker’s commentary. featurettes, and a tribute to Wes Craven through to the deleted scenes, slashed from the final film, there is something for everyone. There is enough bonus material for fans and non-fans alike to sink their teeth into. All the while having a terrific horror film available to view at any time.
SCREAM is available now to Download and Keep and is out on 4K Ultra HD™ + Blu-ray™ SteelBook®, 4K UHD™, Blu-ray™, and DVD on April 11. Order your copy here.
