THE BIG TWO

Of course, there have to be some releases that are bigger than others. And we can look forward to two huge movies coming our way in the coming months. The biggest film of the year so far, ‘The Batman’ is due to hit PVOD on April 19th. The film is a three-hour-long film noir of the highest order. It is possibly the darkest take yet on the Dark Knight himself. Robert Pattinson excels in the role of Batman/ Bruce Wayne who is into his second year of crimefighting as the film opens. With great support from Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, and an unrecognizable Colin Farrell, the film has been a critical and commercial hit. Throw in a brilliant score from Michael Giacchino and you have a comic book drama that stands tall.

The other is the recently released ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2.’ The film is, quite simply, a brilliant family film for all ages. It will keep everyone entertained for hours on end. Jim Carrey once again reprises his role as Dr. Robotnik alongside Ben Schwartz, who again voices Sonic himself. Joining in the fun this time is Idris Elba, who voices Knuckles The Echidna. And the outstanding Colleen O’Shaughnessey who reprises her vocal role of Tails from the videogames and now in live-action. James Marsden, Tika Sumpter. Adam Pally and Lee Majdoub also return from the first film. But it is the returning Natasha Rothwell as Rachel who steals the show once again.
