It has been a long time in coming. But on September 2nd, Prime Video will unveil it’s long-awaited ‘The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power’ series. Set thousands of years before the events we have already witnessed on the silver screen, the series is based on J.R.R Tolkien’s history of Middle-Earth. A new, brief teaser for the show has been allowed to emerge from The Shire before the release of a new trailer for the series that will drop on July 14th. Let’s drop in and see what’s happening in Middle-Earth:
THE PREMISE
Set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the series is based on author J. R. R. Tolkien’s history of Middle-earth. It begins during a time of relative peace and covers all the major events of Middle-earth’s Second Age: the forging of the Rings of Power, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the fall of the island kingdom of Númenor, and the last alliance between Elves and Men. These events take place over thousands of years in Tolkien’s original stories but are condensed for the series.

The new series will arrive from Middle-Earth on September 2nd, exclusively on Prime Video.
