The Sanderson Sisters return in the Disney+ original movie. Back and more glorious than ever, Hocus Pocus 2 premieres on September 30th.

We all wanted it. We all asked for it. And on September 30th, we shall have it. At this year’s D23 Disney Expo, a brand new trailer and poster have been revealed for the upcoming original movie ‘Hocus Pocus 2.’ Twenty-nine years after the original film was released in theaters, the long-awaited sequel is flying in on its broomstick. Once again starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, the film will premiere on Disney + as an original movie.

With the return of Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson once more, the film looks to be a worthy successor to the much-loved original. Let’s take to the skies once again with those pesky Sanderson Sisters as we take a look at what’s in store:

THE PREMISE

Twenty-nine years after the events of Hocus Pocus, three high-school students must work together to stop the Sanderson sisters who have returned to present-day Salem.

  1. I’m not sure how I feel about this one. I’ve wanted a sequel, but without the return of the cast members I’m not completely on board. I’ll have to watch it and compare it to the book sequel that came out a few years ago that centers on Alison and Max’s daughter fighting the sisters.
