The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Universal Pictures, Nintendo, and Illumination Entertainment bring us our first look at The Super Mario Brothers Movie, due in theaters in April of 2023!

I, like many people around the world, grew up playing Super Mario Bros. From the Game and Watch handheld game to the latest incarnation on Nintendo Switch, I’ve been playing the games for years. I hated the live-action movie of the franchise from the 1990s and gave up thinking I’d ever see a good film concerning Mario, Luigi, and the gang. That may be about to change. Next April, Universal Pictures, Nintendo, and Illumination Entertainment will be bringing us ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie.’ The first trailer for the film has been released. Put on your plumbers’ outfits as we take a look:

THE CAST

The Super Mario Bros. Movie features the voice talents of Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Sebastian Maniscalco as Foreman Spike, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
