In 2007, the musical fantasy romantic comedy film ‘Enchanted’ cast its spell over the audiences of the world. Starring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, the film was critically acclaimed and earned over $340 million in box office receipts. Over the years, whispers have been heard about a sequel to the film. Those whispers have now proved true.
On November 18th, the sequel ‘Disenchanted’ will be hitting Disney+. Once again starring Amy Adams as Giselle, Patrick Dempsey as Robert, James Marsden as King Edward, and Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine, the film is set ten years after the climax of the original movie. A new trailer for the film has been released. Let’s take a look:
THE PREMISE
Ten years after her happily ever after, Giselle, Robert, and Morgan move from Manhattan to a new house in the suburb of Monroeville. The community is overseen by Malvina Monroe, who has nefarious intentions for the family. When problems arise, Giselle uses the magic wand to wish that their lives were the perfect fairy tale. However, the spell backfires and everything goes out of control, with Giselle rushing to save her family and her homeland of Andalasia before the clock strikes midnight.
‘Disenchanted’ will enchant the world once again when it premieres on Disney+ on November 18th.
