After over a decade after our first visit to Pandora, James Cameron will return us to the world of Avatar on December 16th. It is almost time for Avatar: The Way Of Water to surface in theaters.

The original Avatar is the highest-grossing film of all time. But with the imminent release of Avatar: The Way Of Water, could its title be under threat? Over a decade has passed since the first film was released in theaters, to great critical and audience reactions. And a huge box office haul to boot. But with the second film, audiences could again flock to the cinema to witness what looks to be another epic from the writer/director. The film will need to earn $2 billion just to break even. With the release of the final trailer below, it looks like the film could actually do it with ease. Check it out:

THE PREMISE

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water tells the story of the Sully family, the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.
