It is almost time to light the fuse for the penultimate time. Hitting screens in July of 2023, Tom Cruise begins his final mission in Paramount Pictures’ Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part One. The seventh film in the long-running franchise is set to be the ultimate ending for Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and possibly the franchise as a whole. As such, it looks as if they are planning on going out with the biggest, loudest bang possible. A new behind-the-scenes extended look at the film has been released. Light the touchpaper as we take a look:

THE CAST

As well as Tom Cruise returning as Ethan Hunt, the cast also includes returnees Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis/The White Widow, and Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge, the former director of the IMF who was last seen in the original Mission: Impossible.

Newcomers to the franchise include Hayley Atwell as Grace, Shea Whigham as Jasper Briggs, Esai Morales as the villain of the movie, Pom Klementieff, Rob Delaney, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Charles Parnell, Greg Davis, Marcin Dorociński, Lampros Kalfuntzos, and Mariela Garriga in undisclosed roles. Tom Cruise also posted a thank you to all the fans who turned out for this summer’s Top Gun: Maverick from the set of the new film in which he spoke to us all in typical style:

Ethan Hunt will finally face his Dead Reckoning when Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part One opens in July of 2023.
