Welcome to The Official Film Chart.
THE OFFICIAL CHART
Well, what do you know? The chart has had a real shake-up this past week. We have four new titles inside the top ten. This week sees Hop, Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone, Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, and Ticket To Paradise having to forfeit their chart placings to make way. But what could the newcomers be? Let’s dive in and find out.
AVATAR MAKES IT A HAT TRICK OF WEEKS AT THE TOP!
Avatar: The Way of Water scoops a third consecutive week at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart. As it shows no signs of slowing down on digital downloads only, will its release on DVD & Blu-ray push it to a fourth week at the top? Check back next week to find out.

ANT-MAN & THE WASP ENTER THE CHART AT NUMBER TWO!
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the highest new entry of the week as it debuts at Number 2. Paul Rudd returns as the titular superhero, joined once again by Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp, plus stars like Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bill Murray, and more in this latest Marvel sequel. M3GAN SCARES HER WAY UP THE CHART AGAIN!

LAMBORGHINI RACES INTO THE TOP TEN!
Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend enters the Top 10 for the very first time at Number 4, enjoying its placement on digital downloads only.

PLANE FLIES INTO THE TOP FIVE!
Next up and rounding off the Top 5 in its very first week, Gerard Butler and Mike Colter star in action-adventure Plane. After being forced to land his commercial plane in a warzone during a dangerous storm, pilot Brodie Torrance (Butler) must rescue his passengers, most of whom have been taken hostage.

MATILDA SINGS HER WAY DOWN THE CHART!
Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical drops four places to number 6.

ELVIS ROCKS DOWN THE CHART!
Elvis also drops four places as it rocks out at number 7. (Read our review here.)

MAVERICK FLIES DOWN THE CHART!
Top Gun: Maverick enjoys another week in the Top 10 as it falls to number 8. (Read our review here.)

DUNE IS BLOWN UP A PLACE!
Dune gets blown up a place this week to number 9. (Read our review here.)

WINNIE THE POOH GETS SOME BLOOD & HONEY!
Finally, the surprising horror adaptation of A.A. Milne’s much-loved characters – which recently entered the public domain in the USA – Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey make its debut at Number 10. After Christopher Robin abandons them to go to college, the days of merriment in the 100 Acre Wood are over as Winnie and Piglet must learn to fend for themselves, with horrific consequences.

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!
And that is everything for this week. And we have a nice long bank holiday weekend for the next couple of weeks. Plenty of time to sit back and enjoy a movie at home. So, until next week…
