This week on The Official Film Chart, Dune drifts back into the chart, and Creed delivers a knockout, but it’s five weeks in a row for Avatar!

THE OFFICIAL CHART

The chart this week sees one new entry and two re-entries into the placings. To make way for these three titles, it is the end of the road for Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical, A Man Called Otto, and Elvis. But what are the three titles that join us this week? Time to find out.

AVATAR MAKES IT FIVE WEEKS AT THE TOP!

It’s the fifth week at Number 1 for Avatar: The Way of Water as it continues to fight off the competition on digital downloads only. The follow-up to 2008’s Avatar more than doubled the sales of its closest competition over the last seven days.

ANT-MAN HOLDS FIRM AT NUMBER TWO!

Avatar: The Way Of Water manages to hold off Marvel sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania for a third consecutive week at number 2. (Read our review here.)

DUNE DRIFTS BACK INTO THE CHART!

The former chart-topper Dune rockets back up 11 places to Number 3 following the release of the trailer for its own sequel, Dune: Part Two, last week. (Read our review here.)

CREED FIGHTS HIS WAY INTO THE TOP TEN!

Our highest new entry this week is Creed III, which debuts at Number 7 on digital downloads only. Michael B. WILL WE SCREAM NEXT WEEK?

And that is this week’s top ten titles. However, Ghostface is on the hunt again. This Tuesday saw the digital release of Scream VI (Read our review here.) Avatar faces a threat to its continued run at the top of the chart next week. So until then…
