Welcome to The Official Film Chart.
THE OFFICIAL CHART
The chart this week sees one new entry and two re-entries into the placings. To make way for these three titles, it is the end of the road for Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical, A Man Called Otto, and Elvis. But what are the three titles that join us this week? Time to find out.
AVATAR MAKES IT FIVE WEEKS AT THE TOP!
It’s the fifth week at Number 1 for Avatar: The Way of Water as it continues to fight off the competition on digital downloads only. The follow-up to 2008’s Avatar more than doubled the sales of its closest competition over the last seven days.

ANT-MAN HOLDS FIRM AT NUMBER TWO!
Avatar: The Way Of Water manages to hold off Marvel sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania for a third consecutive week at number 2. (Read our review here.)

DUNE DRIFTS BACK INTO THE CHART!

PUSS IN BOOTS LEAPS UP THE CHART!
Puss In Boots: The Last Wish is also on the rebound, bouncing up three places to number 4.

LAMBORGHINI LOSES GRIP!
Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend falls one place to number five.

PLANE DESCENDS DOWN THE CHART!
The action-thriller Plane drops three places to number 6.

CREED FIGHTS HIS WAY INTO THE TOP TEN!
Our highest new entry this week is Creed III, which debuts at Number 7 on digital downloads only. Michael B. Jordan returns as Adonis Creed, who has been thriving in both his personal and professional life – but when his childhood friend (and former boxing prodigy) returns to the scene he’s forced to put his future on the line. (Read our review here.)

MAVERICK FLIES UP A PLACE!
The record-breaking former Number 1, Top Gun: Maverick flies up a place to number 8. (Read our review here.)

BLACK ADAM RETURNS!
Black Adam returns to the chart, rising two places to number 9. (Read our review here.)

M3GAN IS BROKEN!
Finally, the sci-fi horror M3GAN falls five places to number 10. (Read our review here.)

WILL WE SCREAM NEXT WEEK?
And that is this week’s top ten titles. However, Ghostface is on the hunt again. This Tuesday saw the digital release of Scream VI (Read our review here.) Avatar faces a threat to its continued run at the top of the chart next week. So until then…
