The First Character Posters from Transformers Rise of the Beasts Roll Out

This week on The Official Chart, Spider-Man gets squashed, and Otto returns, but the chart gets transformed!

THE OFFICIAL CHART

This week, we see two new entries and one re-entry hitting the placings. So, it is with a fond farewell, that we say goodbye to Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.3, Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken, and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore. We also have a brand new number-one title. What could it be? Let’s just say it has TRANSFORMED the chart!

THE BEASTS RISE TO TRANSFORM THE CHART!

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts makes a huge Number 1 debut on the Official Film Chart, achieving its feat on digital downloads only. In this seventh instalment of the Transformers film franchise, audiences are taken on a globetrotting 1990s adventure, meeting a whole new faction of Transformers known as The Maximals, who join the Autobots as allies in the battle for Earth. SPIDER-MAN GETS SQUASHED!

The Transformers manages to push last week’s Number 1 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – also a chart-topping debut last week – down to Number 2. (Read our review here.)

THE LITTLE MERMAID SINKS AGAIN!

Former chart-topper The Little Mermaid sinks a place to Number 3.

MARIO LOSES A LIFE!

Another former chart-topper, The Super Mario Bros. Movie loses a life as it drops a place to Number 4.

THE HONOUR AMONG THIEVES HAS RUN OUT!

Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves also sees itself pushed back one place to Number 5. (Read our review here.)

BABYLON 5 TAKES THE ROAD HOME!

A big new entry comes next at Number 6 from the animated Sci-Fi opera Babylon 5: The Road Home. It’s the seventh instalment in the Babylon 5 film series and follows the character John Sheridan as he travels through multiple timelines and realities to find his way home.

THE MEG RETURNS TO THE DEEP!

Giant-shark film The Meg holds strong in the Top 10 this week despite falling 2 places to Number 7. (Read our review here.)

JOHN WICK GETS SHOT DOWN!

John Wick: Chapter 4 stumbles one place to Number 8. (Read our review here.)

A MAN CALLED OTTO WANDERS BACK IN! 

Bouncing back into the Top 10 this week is Tom Hanks’s dramedy A Man Called Otto, rebounding three places to Number 9.

MAVERICK LOSES POWER!

Finally, Top Gun: Maverick falls a place to land at Number 10. (Read our review here.)

Tom Cruise plays Capt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell and Miles Teller plays Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw in Top Gun: Maverick from Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

THAT’S ALL, FOLKS!

And that is this week’s top ten chart placings. Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts should hold onto the top spot next week. However, Monday sees the digital retail release of DC’s The Flash (Read our review here) as it comes off of PVOD. Will it pose a challenge to the giant robots? Time will tell. So, until next week…
