This week on The Official Chart, The Expendables return, and PAW patrol bark their way in. But what is the Christmas number one title?

THE CHRISTMAS TOP TEN

As Noddy Holder once said…Its CHRISTMAS!!! Or close enough to it. This week sees the battle for the Christmas number one title. We see one new entry and two re-entries into the placings. However, the Christmas number one title isn’t going to be Barbie, Nativity, or A Haunting In Venice as they drop out of the top ten. So, what is the official 2023 Christmas number-one title? Wrap up your presents as we find out.

OPPENHEIMER EXPLODES THE ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS PRESENT!

Oppenheimer claims the top spot and the Christmas Number One title of 2023. The film claims its fourth week at the top to become this year’s festive best-seller.

Cillian Murphy is J. Robert Oppenheimer in OPPENHEIMER, written, produced, and directed by Christopher Nolan.

LOVE ACTUALLY CLAIMS SECOND PLACE!

The festive favourite Love Actually moves up a place to claim the silver medal at Number 2.

THE EQUALIZER SHOOTS INTO THE THIRD SPOT!

Denzel Washington manages to shoot himself to a bronze medal as The Equalizer 3 moves up to become the festive Number 3.

ELF STAYS IN PLACE!

Not managing to secure another Number 1 position this year is family favourite Elf, which holds onto fourth place.

THE EXPENDABLES SHOOT BACK INTO THE CHART!

The action sequel Expend4bles shoots its way back into the top ten as it re-enters the chart at Number 5. (Read our review here.)

INDIANA JONES LOSES HIS FOOTING!

The swansong for Harrison Ford’s time wearing the fedora, Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny, loses its footing as it falls to Number 6. (Read our review here.)

PAW PATROL BARKS UP A TOP-TEN PLACE!

The only new entry this week barks its way into Number 7. The animated sequel PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie wags its tail as it enters the Christmas chart. (Read our review here.)

THE POLAR EXPRESS RUNS OUT OF STEAM!

The CGI-animated family favourite The Polar Express runs out of steam as it drops to Number 8.

THE VIOLENT NIGHT IS COMING TO AN END!

The action-packed festive movie, Violent Night, sees its time in the chart coming to an end as it falls to Number 9. (Read our review here.)

THE GREAT ESCAPER BREAKS INTO THE TOP TEN!

Finally, the Michael Caine movie The Great Escaper breaks its way back into the top ten. In the summer of 2014, a World War II veteran sneaks out of his care home to attend the 70th anniversary commemoration of the D-Day landings in Normandy. The film re-enters the chart at Number 10.

And that is the 2023 official UK  Christmas top ten titles. What a year it has been. But it isn’t over yet.
