The Premium Horror Streamer Shudder gets a devilishly good box of treats this April.
With Easter fast approaching, Shudder is delving into its bag of goodies to deliver some truly terrifying content for the cellar dwellers amongst us. As spring approaches, horror fans turn to Shudder to satisfy their thirst for blood, and this April, the streaming platform is delivering. The platform will debut two new original movies and a chilling library of backdated films. And they are more than enough for us to sink our fangs into, especially if you have a thing for dating a devil!
NEW RELEASES
In a surprising turn of events, the platform’s April releases are limited to only two, but they’re significant. The upcoming horror movie Late Night with the Devil will be released on April 19th. The film is highly anticipated and expected to bring a fresh perspective to the demonic possession genre. Critics have praised the movie for its innovative approach while still maintaining the traditional elements of classics such as The Exorcist. On the 26th, a spider horror movie called INFESTED will be released. Those with arachnophobia might want to skip this one. And all that before we get into the new additions to Shudder’s customary film library.
Shudder’s April horror watchlist is a gift that keeps on giving jump scares, but don’t just take my word for it. Grab the arm of your chair, move to the edge of your seat, and grab the cushions!
Late Night with the Devil
October 31, 1977. Johnny Carson rival Jack Delroy hosts a syndicated late night talk show ‘Night Owls’ that has long been a trusted companion to insomniacs around the country. A year after the tragic death of Jack’s wife, ratings have plummeted. Desperate to turn his fortunes around, Jack plans a Halloween special like no other, unaware that he is about to unleash evil into the living rooms of America. Starring David Dastmalchian (Oppenheimer) and Laura Gordon (Reckoning). Streaming on Friday 19th April.
Infested
Facing an invasion of venomous spiders, residents of a suburb building will have to find their way out to survive. Directed by Sébastien Vanicek. Streaming on Friday 26th April.
