Mufasa: The Lion King, the prequel to the box-office smash original movie roars at the Disnet D23 with the debut of the new trailer.
The Lion King, both the animated movie and the live-action remake, are two of the best-loved Disney movies of all time. The box-office success of the 2019 remake led to the initiation of plans for a prequel/sequel. The prequel movie, Mufasa: The Lion King will be roaring into screens on December 20th. Aaron Pierre is the voice of the young Mufasa with support from Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Scar.
In other news, it has been revealed that both Donald Glover as Simba. And Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala will both be returning for the prequel. Also returning is Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, and John Kani as Rafiki. The new trailer for the film has roared its way out of the jungle at the Disney D23 Expo. Let’s take a trip to the African savanna and get our new look.
PREMISE
The prequel about the rise of one of the greatest kings of the Pride Lands goes back to the African savanna where Rafiki tells Kiara—daughter of Simba and Nala—the story of her grandfather while Timon and Pumbaa add color commentary.
Mufasa: The Lion King will be roaring its way into cinemas on December 20th.
