Signature Entertainment is proud to present the UK trailer for the dark comedy Greedy People, starring Lily James, Himesh Patel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The release on digital platforms is scheduled for the 23rd of September. When the eclectic residents of a small, picturesque island town must navigate a sensational murder and the discovery of a million dollars, a series of increasingly bad decisions upend the once peaceful community. Be advised, that the trailer contains strong language and violence throughout.
PREMISE
This darkly comedic crime thriller from the director of Old Henry sees a small town turned upside down by a mysterious murder and a whole lot of cash. Rookie cop Will and his rogue partner Terry upend their small island town when they accidentally discover one million dollars at a crime scene (of their own making). Following the duo’s ill-advised decision to steal the money, the community’s eccentric inhabitants are drawn into a frenzied scramble for the cash. Ranging from an expectant mom to a masseur to a shrimp company owner. And everyone learns just how far they are willing to go for the almighty dollar.

BEHIND THE SCENES
This collaboration marked Boies Schiller and Limelight’s sixth recent project together. Past films include the Eva Longoria-starrer “Aristotle and Dante.”. And “Moving On,” a comedy written and directed by Paul Weitz, starring Lily Tomlin and Academy Award winner Jane Fonda. The companies have collaborated on the forthcoming Spanish-language comedy “Cuando Sea Joven,” scheduled for a theatrical release via Lionsgate later this year. And the Naomi Watts thriller “The Desperate Hour” as well as Netflix’s “The Starling” with Melissa McCarthy. The film reteamed James with Limelight, who worked together on the highly touted miniseries “Pam & Tommy” for Hulu.
